At STEP, career progression follows a structured path, marked by several levels that represent the key milestones of professional development :

Junior Consultant → Confirmed → Senior → Manager → Director → Partner

Two evaluations per year : to take stock, define objectives for the next level, and provide the tools to get there.

Tailored support : skills development, increasing responsibilities, continuous progression.

mentoring

At STEP, we place great importance on the onboarding of our new talents.

Upon your arrival, after initial informal exchanges with the team, a mentor is assigned to you to support your integration throughout your first year.

Recruitment Process

At STEP, our recruitment process is designed to assess candidates’ technical expertise, cultural fit, and ability to deliver on real-world projects. Each stage deepens the evaluation, ensuring that every new hire becomes a true asset to the firm.

The first interview, led by our HR team, is designed to establish an initial connection with the candidate, assess their motivation, and evaluate how well their profile aligns with our values.

The second interview includes a case study, giving the candidate the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world context while demonstrating their ability to analyze, structure, and solve complex problems.

The final interview is conducted by a partner. Its purpose is to understand the candidate’s career aspirations and assess their potential to contribute to STEP’s mission. The candidate also has the opportunityto share their vision and expectations.

Entrepreneurial spirit

At STEP, every team member is encouraged to take an active role in shaping the firm.

Team Events to bring the team together

In March for winter sports and in October at a destination kept secret every year.

These moments bring the whole team together and strengthen bonds in a stimulating environment conducive to exchange.

School
Relation

To stay connected with emerging talents, some STEP consultants teach courses or give guest lectures at universities. STEP also regularly participates in student forums (such as the Trium Forum) and supports various sponsorship projects (e.g., the CentraleSupélec Sailing Challenge).

Pro Bono
missions

Since 2017, STEP has encouraged consultants to engage in social impact initiatives leveraging their core expertise.

Several volunteer consultants passionate about various social causes dedicate part of their time to delivering pro bono consulting projects.

TEAM-LED
Initiatives

Driven by our consultants, STEP also participates in occasional charitable activities, such as volunteering in charity projects, taking part in the “Course of Lights” in Paris and Toulouse, and more.
